We have a real treat for you today with Part 2 of Melissa and Dan’s elegant, fun, dance-filled wedding reception at Athol Hall! After their joyous ceremony, we walked down to this cute little beach where the afternoon light was deliciously warm and perfect for some beachy wedding portraits with our happy couple! This little beach is just a few minutes’ walk down some stone steps from the venue lawn. Melissa and Dan were looking so relaxed and happy!
Ahh, so dreamy and romantic! Love these!
These two just look so smitten with each other.
We had to get the bridal party in on a few shots too, of course!
Our happy couple was also feeling a bit adventurous and keen to climb over the rocks to perch themselves here… and what a view!!
Before our little foray down to the beach, we had the chance to snap some photos inside the beautifully set up venue. Athol Hall is really unique. This heritage-listed building feels part barn, part dance hall, and rustic and elegant all at once. It looked amazing dressed up in the cream and black theme that Melissa and Dan chose!
Their wedding cake looked like it was made of porcelain and was exquisite!
After our beach portraits finished and the sun had set, it was time to get the party started!
After the initial excitement, the guests settled down for a heart-warming round of speeches.
Mel’s father gave a wonderful speech that got some great reactions from the guests, and most importantly from his beautiful daughter.
Remember the photos of Dan with his Paddington Bear in Part 1? Well, now it was Mel’s turn to be revisited by an old childhood buddy. What a cute gift!
I love it when our brides and grooms give a speech. They always seem to be extra emotional and are always so special.
The champagne continued to flow as our handsome groom took the mic!
I love Mel’s reaction here. So sweet!
It was a beautiful night both inside and out.
Mel is a trained Rock’n’Roll dancer, so we were looking forward to seeing her in action on the dance floor. Mel and Dan’s first dance was elegant and breathtaking.
This is one of my favourites from the night!
After the father-daughter dance, the guests took to the dance floor and stayed there all night!
It quickly became apparent that Mel wasn’t the only trained dancer on the dance floor!
The guests took turns leading the bride so elegantly around the dance hall. Her dress looked amazing with every twirl!
Dan and Mel’s expressions here are both priceless! Love it!
It’s always hard saying goodbye after such a fun-filled night, but soon it was time for our bride and groom to ride off into the sunset.
Jeff and I couldn’t resist sticking around just a little bit longer to capture this beautiful scene. Click to view it bigger!
