When Kristie and Alex contacted us about shooting their wedding, we found out the big day was just weeks away—and they had only been engaged for a few weeks, too! With Kristie’s impending departure to the United States for postgraduate study, Kristie and Alex decided they would get married just two days before Kristie was due to depart. With their families’ help, the small event soon ballooned into a full-blown awesome wedding shindig with more than a hundred of their nearest and dearest. They did an absolutely amazing job pulling it off and we were delighted to be a part of their day. The fun started in the morning at the Sydney Registry Office for Kristie and Alex’s civil ceremony and all present were full of smiles!
Kristie was looking radiant in her champagne silk gown and Alex was looking handsome!
Kristie just loved her new ring—it was so cute to see her glance down at it all day!
After the ceremony, we headed over to the Art Gallery of New South Wales for some family and bridal party shots.
Then it was time for a stop at the iconic Australian Hotel for a celebratory drink!
Of course, we had to grab a few shots around The Rocks. I love these shots of the two of them, they were just SO happy to be married. Looking gorgeous, Kristie!
And I just love this one! They’re not fashion models but they sure could’ve fooled me!
Such a beautiful day also called for a stroll down by the harbour!
Could the weather have been any more perfect?
And with that, it was time to head to the reception at the simply stunning location of Coogee Beach… just wait ’till you see… this beautiful day just kept getting better. If you have a favourite photo, please do share in the comments below!
