Most of my friends know that Coogee Beach has a special place in my heart. It was the place I lived for six months during my first experience in Australia as a student. When Kristie and Alex told us their wedding was going to be at the Coogee Surf Life Saving Club, I secretly did a little dance and hoped they would book us! Coogee is such a lovely suburb, with such a lovely beach. The Surf Life Saving Club is ideally positioned right on the sand at the southern end of the beach, with a breezy patio and windows overlooking the ocean. Kristie and Alex’s reception did not disappoint! The venue was beautifully decorated with many personal vintage touches.

Kristie and Alex started the evening off with a beautifully written unique ceremony they had put together themselves. There were laughs and tears throughout the room!

The staff from European Catering put together a mouthwatering menu. The venue and catering staff were all gems to work with and the food was delish!

Remember my comment from Part 1 about Kristie looking down at her ring throughout the day? Well here’s why she kept looking… wowsers look at that sparkle!

Did I mention that the food was yummy? They cooked up two huge batches of paella on the patio—a fantastic idea that really suited the venue and tasted amazing. While it was cooking, we ventured out onto the sand for some sunset photos. With all the rain in Sydney this summer, I think we all felt super lucky to end up with such a beautiful sunny day and gorgeous evening.

Back inside, the party was really starting to kick off. The champagne flowed and the speeches delighted the crowd.

Kristie and Alex’s guests sure knew how to par-tay! I think every single guest had a turn on the dance floor at some point, and I don’t think it was ever empty once the dancing got going. Impression DJs did a great job keeping the music pumping all night.

Kristie and Alex, thank you so much for letting us share in the joy of your wedding day. We wish you many, many happy years together! Friends and family of Kristie and Alex, feel free to leave a congratulatory note for the happy couple below in the comments.
