Any Sydneysider would agree you can’t really go wrong with a beach wedding in Sydney. If you saw their relaxed, beachy engagement session earlier this year, Esther and Joe continued the trend with their beautiful, relaxed, sun-kissed beachy wedding! I love the name and I love the scenery at Curl Curl, a beautiful long patch of pink sand on the north shore. The North Curl Curl Surf Life Saving Club was the perfect spot for this beach-loving couple’s afternoon ceremony and dinner and dancing with friends. We couldn’t be happier for Esther and Joe, who are now expecting a little bundle of joy later this year!
As you can see, we lucked out with an extremely warm and beautiful late winter’s day—so warm and sunny that it almost gave us a taste of summer (but without the crowds of summer beachgoers)! The SLSC glowed in the warm afternoon light, with just a few local surfers wandering about the beach.
Excited guests gathered just outside the surf club, eagerly awaiting the arrival of our bride!
Esther and Joe chose not to have photos of them getting ready, so we saw our beautiful bride for the first time when she arrived with her father, ready to walk down the aisle. Esther looked absolutely gorgeous in her champagne silk gown!
Joe was so happy to see his bride! What a sweet moment with Esther’s father who clearly loves his little girl so much.
Kerry of Unforgettable Ceremonies did a beautiful job officiating.
We love these intimate shots of the ring ceremony.
Congrats Esther and Joe! Here’s one of my favourite shots of the happy couple, beaming with happiness after the long-awaited declaration of their marriage.
I love this glance between Esther and her Maid of Honour, who is also her sister!
Joe couldn’t be more excited. After the ceremony, we got the whole group together for a fun shot!
Then it was time for the bridal party to take a stroll on the sands of Curl Curl Beach. What a great looking bridal party! Esther and her sister are both expecting their new bubs around the same time! What a special thing for two sisters to share.
The sunset light was absolutely dreamy on the beach!
Esther, you were such a lovely bride! Isn’t she simply beautiful?
I love this—one of Joe’s family members just had to pop in the ocean for a bit of a swim during cocktail hour. What an awesome idea!
One of my favourites!
These two loved our panoramic shots, so we had to get one in with the last rays of sunlight. Click it to view it bigger!
There’s lots more to come in Part 2 of Esther and Joe’s wedding, including a few more beach portraits and their fun-filled reception! Check back soon for more beachy fabulousness!
